High Adventure Trip for summer:

Mr. Collazo is trying to plan/organize a high adventure trip  for the scouts/crew.   He will be having an informational meeting for parents and scouts on April 2 at 6:30 pm. If interested please attend.

Here is one option:

Here is the info that I have found in the net for a possible trip this summer to the Northern Tier, Ely, MN Base. Daniel and I are available to go on the dates here:

May 30 to June 14

July 8 to July 18

Since this is our first time going to this trip, I think that it will be best to go on the shortest and cheapest, 6 day trip. This will allow us to take some of the not so old and not so experienced kids (and their parents) with us.

I think that the best time to go is on July the 9th, which is a Thursday, the middle of the week, when the plane tickets hopefully will be the cheapest.

The link for their available trips is here: http://www.ntier.org/filestore/NorthernTier/pdf/Availabletrips2015.pdf

The cost of:

Ely Trips (6-8 participants) $605.00 per crew, per night*

can be found here: http://www.ntier.org/TripPlanning/Summer_Fees.aspx

There is a very good page with planning information here: http://www.ntier.org/TripPlanning/Ely.aspx

To be eligible to go they require that everyone in the crew “be classified as a swimmer” before arriving at Northern Tier. Everyone has to be 14 years old or 13 years old and completed the 8th grade. They have a bunch of other things to consider and such… It is all in the link above.
